Welcome to www.pdma.org, the website of the Product Development and Management Association, a global organization of over 3500 members engaged in the profession of new product development and innovation. Whether you’re a returning visitor or new to the site, I’m certain you’ll find much to read here whether it’s about the organization, our New Product Development Professional certification program, our conferences, our chapters and affiliates, or simply our glossary. PDMA.org is your portal into the many elements of PDMA.
With innovation and new product development getting more attention than ever, new product development professionals are increasingly called to do more with less, to bring better products to market more quickly, more efficiently, and more predictably. Concurrently, innovation and new product development has become a global activity with teams and organizations across the world collaborating, competing, and sometimes doing both concurrently. To succeed today in our profession, new product development professionals need to continuously improve their skills and stay connected with new developments in our profession. PDMA is your conduit to the information and connections you need to succeed!
PDMA’s membership spans the profession. With chapters and affiliates in North America, Europe, and Asia (and more coming all the time), PDMA is truly a global organization connecting innovators worldwide. In addition, PDMA membership includes many of the thought leaders of our profession from industry, the academic community, and service providers. They share their knowledge through our many conferences, publications, and other services. Through PDMA we are truly becoming a global community of innovators and product developers where people at all levels can find people to learn from, and people with whom to share their experiences!
This is an exciting time for our profession and for PDMA as we expand our global reach and continue our membership growth. If you’re not yet a member, take a look at what we have to offer and consider becoming a part of our growing global community. If you are already a member, think seriously about becoming more involved as a PDMA volunteer. Involvement in PDMA is a great way to develop relationships with many of the key leaders and influencers in our field. Volunteering in PDMA is our least publicized member benefit! Check it out.
