Welcome to the Product Development and Management Association portal! Our community of innovators creates the wellspring for new knowledge for how to create new marketplace value. We live in over 50 countries and work in enterprises ranging from global corporations to new Web 2.0 "start ups" spanning across more than 17 industries.

The PDMA community is woven from a fabric of practicing professionals, academic researchers, professors and students and those service providers who support corporations with their innovation and product development expertise. We are passionate about extending the reach and impact of our leading-edge research and best practices by engaging you—we do this through:

1. Our organizational structures—Chapters, Affiliates and Special Interest Groups (SIG's)

2. Professional development and networking opportunities within local events as well as our larger Conferences and Corporate Learning Groups, and

3. Multiple other opportunities for you to learn individually via our Publications, Webcasts, and New Product Development Professional Certification. 

In our community, we have members who have joined to be successful with a new or ongoing innovation or product development or management assignment, and we have other members who have joined to support successful life-long careers. Since the application of principles, tools and processes for the practice and management of innovation are today being applied in every business area, increasingly we find that while someone may join to be more effective in a new job, they often remain for their professional lifetime!

If you are an innovator (or would like to meet some), attend one of our multitude of Affiliate (country organization) or Chapter (city or local organization) programs in your area. PDMA conferences are a great place to cross paths with thought leaders like Guy Kawasaki, Clayton Christensen or Jim Collins and to do some world class networking in the process. Wondering what's next? Read one of our highly respected publications: The Journal of Product Innovation Management (JPIM) which documents the leading edge research in innovation and product development or Visions which is our more practical, application-oriented magazine.
