GAIN THE EDGE!
NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT PROFESSIONAL (NPDP)
CERTIFICATION
- WHAT IS THE EDGE?
The New Product Development Professional (NPDP) certification, developed and offered by the Product Development & Management Association (PDMA), is an internationally recognized body of knowledge.
- WHY GAIN THE EDGE?
Your intellectual knowledge doubles every seven years. NPDP Certification supports and formally recognizes your drive for process consistency and discipline. This EDGE allows you to document your knowledge and experience in NPD, offers the right big picture perspective and avoids "just being able to talk about it."
- WHAT IS THE VALUE OF THE EDGE?
Professional growth, better clients, faster results and overall
marketplace leadership = more dollars for you and your company.
- WHO HAS THE EDGE?
Individuals who associate with other winning professionals, invest in
themselves, pride themselves on being at the top of their game and those that have real experience in NPD.
- NEXT STEPS TO GAINING THE EDGE
NPDP Certification is a two-part process; and application and an exam. You must have an approved application before you take the exam. To learn more about these two parts, visit Application & Process and NPD Exam.

NOTICE: To all wanting to receive PDMA NPDP certification.
Effective June 1, 2011
We are modifying the process to become certified by requiring that an application for certification be completed prior to taking the certification exam. There are no changes in the number of steps or cost for becoming certified. Each candidate must complete an application for certification by following the steps under "Application & Process" prior to scheduling the exam. Once the application has been approved you will receive a letter indicating that your application has been approved, and you can then schedule your exam. This letter must be taken to the exam site and presented at the time you take the test. The test site will not administer the test without this letter. Allow ten (10) business days for your application to be processed.
