Developing Products in India
What's In It For Me?
Did you know that Google, Siemens, GE, Conexant, and innumerable startup companies are developing products in India for the global market? Companies have discovered that the benefits of outsourcing to Asia's third largest economy extend beyond cost savings. Gains in performance, quality, time to market, and revenue growth are also spurring demand for the outsourcing of product development.
In this program, Gunjan Bagla will review the essentials of new product development by leveraging resources in India, describing the reasons why a business can utilize India as an offshore sourcing destination and the steps needed to find and work with a local partner. Gunjan will draw upon recent personal experience and several years of investigation in product development outsourcing and the lessons learned from recent trends.
This program will cover the following topics:
- The value of offshore product development
- How to determine if your company or project should adopt a distributed or offshore product development model
- Allocation of teams overseas or outsourcing to vendor partners
