Arizona’s Product Development and Management Association (PDMA) 5th Annual Conference: Green Business Models and Technologies

Speakers from influential public and private companies around the state will educate attendees on the benefits of incorporating sustainable business solutions into daily operations and product development.
Topics include:

• Green business models leveraging sustainability as a business driver
• Integration of design for sustainability best practices into product development
• Green technologies that have created innovative products
• Integration of sustainability into Corporate Social Responsibility producing tangible triple bottom line results

Brad Casper, Keynote
CEO, Dial Corporation

Brad Casper was named president and CEO of The Dial Corporation, a company of Henkel AG &CO. KGaA, in April 2005. He oversees business operations for some of America’s most trusted consumer products including Dial® soaps and body washes, Purex® laundry detergent, Renuzit® air fresheners and Right Guard® antiperspirant/deodorants. Prior to joining Dial, Casper served as president, personal care for Church & Dwight and held various senior positions at Procter & Gamble. He is an actively involved in the community and serves on multiple national and local boards. 

Robert Worsley
Chairman/CEO, Renegy Holdings, Inc.

Since 2007, Robert “Bob” Worsley has served as chairman and CEO of Renegy, Inc., a renewable energy company focused on acquiring, developing and operating a growing portfolio of biomass to electricity power generation facilities. Worsley is also the founder and owner of NZ Legacy, an Arizona land and mineral company. Prior to that, Worsley served as chairman and CEO of SkyMall, Inc., which he founded in 1989 and grew to the largest in-flight catalog worldwide.


Cynthia Milgroom
Vice President of Sustainability, Dial Corporation

Cynthia Milgroom is the vice president at Dial Corporation, currently responsible for corporate sustainability and laundry care innovation. Based in Scottsdale, Dial has about 700 employees at the headquarters and 1,500 nationally. Since joining the company in 2006, Cynthia has led business and marketing innovation functions for Renuzit Air Care and Purex Laundry Care. She has a successful track record of innovative concept developments, product marketing and commercialization.

Ray Hobbs
Senior Engineer, APS

Ray Hobbs has worked with APS for nearly 25 years, currently serving as senior engineer. He is responsible for the APS Future Fuels Program, which focuses on technologies relating to energy sustainability. In 2006, Hobbs received the Platt’s Global Energy Award for Emissions Project of the Year for turning APS power plant emissions into biofuels.

Freescale Semiconductor, Inc.
Executive Director of Business Operations, Anand Jayapalan

Anand Jayapalan is the executive director of business operations at Freescale Semiconductor, Inc. He has extensive management experience in the semiconductor industry for the telecom, wireless handset, automotive and consumer segments. He is responsible for developing and implementing strategic operational plans for three business units within the RF, Analog and Sensors Group, which had approximately $1 billion in sales in 2007.

Brad Allenby, Ph.D.
Professor, Arizona State University

Brad Allenby, Ph.D., is an engineering and law professor at Arizona State University, serving as Lincoln Professor of Engineering and Ethics. He is also the founding director of ASU’s Center for Earth Systems Engineering and Management. Prior to joining ASU in 2004, Allenby was the environment, health and safety vice president for AT&T. In addition, he is past president of the International Society for Industrial Ecology and a member and ex-Chair of the AAAS Committee on Science, Engineering and Public Policy.
